The South African Rugby Legends Association is being assisted by victorious Springbok coach Jake White to raise funds for the development of sport by introducing an exclusive red wine nationwide in August to commemorate the Rugby World Cup 2007 triumph. The Wildekrans Jake White Selection 2007 Cape Red, is masterful blend of 50% Pinotage, 25% Shiraz and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon that Jake White has been carefully crafting with wine makers William Wilkinson and Neils Verburg. Jake White and his team won the Rugby World Cup in 2007 after a patient process of selection, understanding the integrity of each player's talent, training and discipline, cajoling when necessary, coaching with a firm hand and a clear vision, and finally, after years of careful nurturing, blended the varied and exciting characteristics of each player into a mature, unstoppable, winning team. The same process applies to this world class wine - it takes time and passion and starts with the best selection from the vineyard. The grapes were carefully harvested from the healthiest Pinotage, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards which were slowly and carefully fermented in new French oak to allow each cultivar's character to emerge fully. As these wines reached the peak of their potential, Wildekrans winemaker William Wilkinson, consultant winemaker Neils Verburg and Jake White converted the trio of cultivars into this elegant unity. A team effort has created a single, balanced, world beating blend. Wildekrans Jake White Selection 2007 - a celebration of a World Cup winning team! Production limited to 2007 bottles only.
