SA Rugby Legends Tour to Scotland
eLan Legands will be at the Golden Oldies World Festival from 4th - 14th September.
Mr Price Kearsney College Fun Day
A successful day's rugby was played for all that took part in the Mr Price Kearsney College Fun Day held at Kearsney College, Botha's Hill on 8 June. A full compliment of teams competed in the tag and touch rugby festivals which was the build-up to the main game.
Chilly weather greeted the eLan Rugby Legends Old Crocks team when they took on the Kearsney First team in the 78th Old Crocks game between the two teams which this year had a successful tag-team and fund-raising component.
Cheque handover for Cedric Mkhize
Learners at Hilton College hosted a successful fundraiser and were able to give wheel-chair bound rugby legend Cedric Mkhize a cheque for R29 400 on 28 May to help modify his car.
500 Hilton learners gathered together in the main school theatre to be acknowledged for their contribution, selflessness and generosity. None of them had met the person they were helping - although some of them knew him by reputation. It was through the vision of head boy, Andrew Dourdillon, that they had pledged to assist Mkhize.
Andre Venter Fund Raiser
The South African Rugby Legends Association in association with Andre Venter are hosting a dinner to raise funds for former rugby player, Arne Gouws on 6 June at the Kopano Nokeng Country Lodge, Bloemfontein.
Inaugural SARLA / eLan Challenge
The inaugural multi-disciplinary SARLA / eLan Challenge took place last weekend (16 and 17 May 08) featuring a friendly competitive fishing comp, mountain bike race, golf challenge and cook-off between members of the South African Rugby Legends and their titles sponsors, eLan Group executives.
"There was a wonderful atmosphere and plans for next years challenge are all ready underway," says SARLA's John Allan.
Mr Price Kearsney College Fun Day
The 78th annual 'clash' between the eLan Rugby Legends and the Kearsney 1st team takes place in the picturesque autumnal setting of Kearsney College on 8 June.
The game that takes place between the eLan Rugby Legends and the first team players is being played as part of the Mr Price Kearsney College Fun Day and it is the second time the "Old Crocs" game has been incorporated into the festival.
National Golden Oldies Festival
The team that played against Pirates Madalas at the National Golden Oldies Festival in Potchefstroom on Saturday 3rd May.
