A feast of rugby awaits the North Coast of KZN when the Ballito Dolphins Rugby Club hosts a fun day of matches and clinics at Sugar Rush Park in Ballito on Saturday 25th March 2017.

The event is to celebrate the official start of the KZN Club rugby season and to help raise funds for the Dolphin’s new clubhouse as well as the Ryan Walker Foundation.

The SA Rugby Legends have been invited to join in the festivities and will do so at 13h00 when Coach Ian McIntosh hosts a rugby clinic. Kids from the ages of 7 to 15 are welcome to get some handy tips and learn some new skills from these experienced former players.

The event kick starts at 10h00 with a coaching clinic of high school teams run by the Ballito Dolphin’s first team squad.  At 12h30 the Ballito Dolphin’s second team take on Durban Mets second team, with the first teams of both clubs running out at 14h10.

The main game is at 15h30 when the SA Rugby Legends team fields at Natal Legends team to play against the Madala’s (Dolphin’s Old Boys).  The Legends team includes former Springboks Hentie Maartens, Tonderai Chavhanga and Justin Swart as well as former Italy international Wim Visser.  Also joining in the fun are Sharks Legends Nico Breedt, Scott Mathie, Lungani Kama and Brett Hennessy.

East Coast Radio’s Erin Dickson’s will MC the event.  Entrance is R20 per vehicle.  Food and drinks will be on sale at the venue.
