The SA Rugby Legends cycle team for the 2017 Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic, enjoyed a successful day out on the road. With a chilly start in Pietermaritzburg, warm weather greeted the cyclists from Drummond creating perfect conditions for the cyclists as they made their way into Durban.
The team participated in the Charity / Celebrity Section of the event, with former Natal fly half and now racing snake, Henry Coxwell, the first legend home in 3.15.24, followed by SARLA CEO Stefan Terblanche in 3:16 and former BokCaptain John Smit thereafter in 3.24.32.
The rest of the team, cycling in either the 106km or 65km race then came in to a warm Tsogo Sun welcome at the hospitality marquee on Sun Coast beach, with a wonderful spread of tasty treats and cool refreshments awaiting them.
Thanks to Tsogo Sun and the Amashova Durban Classic organisers for once more inviting SARLA to field a team in this fantastic event and for their wonderful hospitality.
Congratulations to all our riders
